You may remember seeing scenes from TV if diners being served by tuxedo clad wait staff, tables with crisp white table cloths and napkins and Sinatra playing in the background.
The complete package including the pictures of former presidents that adourned the walls.
It was 7:30 and the room was filled with people wearing suits. We felt under dressed. The clientele was mostly business people entertaining clients.
We started the evening with salads. The Green Beans, Asparagus and Tomato Salad was awesome. Sauteed shallots are layered on the bottom of this salad. The dressing is a basalmic vinegerette dressing which the tart flavor complemented to the sweetness of the vegetables. The asparagus and string beans had a crunch that enhanced the flavor of this salad.
The steaks are spiced with salt and pepper and cooked to perfection. The middle was perfect.
The best part of the steak is the bone area.
Side dishes round out the meal in a steak house. I am of the opinion that high end steak houses all excel in cooking their steaks, their way. The side dishes are as important as the steaks. In fact, the side dishes are the co-feature in the steak house and enhances the steak. Our meal came with sauteed spinach. We also ordered steamed asparagus baked potato and sauteed mushrooms.
Overall, we enjoyed our steakhouse experience at Uncle Jack's. The food was wonderful and the service made us feel pampered
