We had dinner at Chef Mario Battali's Otto restaurant in the Venetian's Grand Canal Shops.
The food was good but the atmosphere overlooking the canal that runs through the Grand Canal Shops and the sounds of the saxophone trio.
We had a seafood and spring vegetable appetizer with a Japanese / Italian twist.
It was fish, calamari, shrimp and vegetables fried tempura style. The fried items were tossed in capers, olive oil and italian spices. It was simple evoking the thought of "Why didn't I think of that". It was really good.
We shared the vegetable canneloni. Made with peppers and eggplant. Spicy.
And the Magherita pizza.
